The Vidyalankar group was established in 1960 by Professor C.S. Deshpande. Over decades, Vidyalankar has come to be known for providing quality education at affordable prices across various educational streams. Vidyalankar’s interest ranges from training institutes to colleges and subjects range from engineering to management examinations to preparation for studying abroad.
Over the years, Vidyalankar has taken various initiatives after understanding the needs of students and establishing various institutes and branches to meet those needs. From test examinations to mock tests, to diploma and correspondence courses, slowly and dedicatedly, Vidyalankar has evolved from a small rented classroom to a large,respected group known for its activities in education that ultimately contribute to nation building.
Music has always been an integral part of Indian life. The range of musical phenomenon in India extends from simple melody songs to the multiple varieties of classical music. Light music is an important component of Indian music. Various forms of light music – film sangeet, natyageet, abhang, bhajan, etc. are appreciated by music lovers, as no special knowledge or expertise is required to understand it.
Keeping the popularity of light music among the singers and listeners in mind, Vidyalankar Dyanapeeth Trust proposes to organize singing competition for the college students of University of Mumbai.
